Hi, I'm Diana, a product designer

I care about inclusion and ethical design

I have a decade of experience building products that accelerate growth at mission-driven companies. I use research to create designs based on what people need and I am committed to doing no harm in the process. I'm driven by my beliefs that learning is joyful and helping each other is profoundly meaningful.

My values

heart

Do no harm

Designers are responsible for the things we put out into the world, and being diligent about understanding how they affect individuals and communities is part of the job. I strive to be anti-racist, use my influence for the common good, care about accessibility and edge cases so that no one gets left behind, and counteract systematic biases where possible.

Research-based design

The fastest path to a great solution is to first take time to deeply understand the problem, the people facing it, and their lived experiences. This type of evidence-based design arrives at successful business solutions quickly and consistently by allowing teams to overcome unconscious biases and create products that are tailored to fit users’ needs.

Constant improvement

Great problem solvers approach challenges with humility and curiosity, recognizing they have biases and following the evidence even when it contradicts a favorite theory or tactic that has worked before. There is always more to learn and continuous analysis of success and failure is a normal and essential part of the growth process.

Team psychological safety

How we treat our colleagues directly affects how well we work together. Energy, honesty, empathy, as well as feedback that focuses on what's going well lets colleagues know that the team is rooting for them to succeed. People should feel safe asking naive questions, failing openly, and figuring out solutions together.
